Sheldon Pike, MD

Sheldon Pike, MD, obtained his Bachelor’s in Biology from Stony Brook University and his Medical Degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following this, he completed his Urology Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, assuming the role of Chief Resident in 1990. He won the Urology Chief Residents’ debate at the NY Academy of Medicine that same year.

His career includes roles as an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He maintains affiliations with several esteemed medical societies, including the New York County Medical Society, the New York Chapter of the American Urological Association, the Endourological Society, the American Fertility Society, the American Medical Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the NY Society of French Speaking Health Professionals.

Dr. Pike is highly proficient in the Himplant and Urolift procedures and possesses specialized expertise in Urodynamics, Transrectal Ultrasound, Endourology, Stone Surgery, and Urologic Prosthetics. Additionally, he is fluent in Hebrew, French, German, and Spanish.

Robert Valenzuela, MD

Robert Valenzuela, MD, specializes in prosthetic urology, addressing sexual dysfunction, post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), and Peyronie's disease, as well as contributing to medical education. He's among the top implanters of penile prostheses, male slings, and artificial urinary sphincters.

Formerly an Assistant Clinical Professor at Squire Urological Clinic at NY-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, he also directed Penile Prosthesis Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He's both a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, actively educating through patient seminars and lectures for urologists and primary care physicians on erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence treatments.

Internationally, he trains physicians in surgical methods of penile prosthesis insertion, male slings, Artificial Urinary Sphincters, Prostatic Urethral Lift (Urolift) procedures, and managing complex prosthetic cases. Dr. Valenzuela pioneered the Sub-Coronal Inflatable Penile Prosthesis procedure (SC-IPP) and Modified Sliding Technique (MoST/MuST) for penile length preservation, restoration, and correcting severe penile angulation due to Peyronie's disease during prosthesis insertion. The ARES-XL technique incorporates these methods for length and girth restoration.

Actively involved in professional associations like the American Urological Association, Sexual Medicine Society, Hispanic Medical Association, Dominican Medical Association, and International Society for Sexual Medicine, Dr. Valenzuela also founded and leads Northeast Mission of Hope, a medical mission providing free surgical care globally. He dedicates himself to community service, offering free annual cancer screenings. Dr. Valenzuela earned his Medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
